Visit California’s 2022 Road Trips guide, available on its website, includes tips on everything from mileage to travel times and packing to playlists. One exciting drive described in the Road Trips guide is the Shasta Cascade loop, which could be an ideal option for clients looking to explore a less-populated region of the state. Starting in Redding, the drive takes adventurers to Shingletown, followed by Lassen Volcanic National Park. Then it’s on to Old Station, McArthur-Burney Falls State Park, Alturas, and Lava Beds National Monument, before the journey concludes at Lake Shasta. Some of the attractions to catch along the way include Turtle Bay Exploration Park, the Loomis Museum, Auction Yard Cafe, Mill Creek Falls, and Crags Trail.

Appropriately with the winter season upon us, Visit California’s 2022 Official Visitor Guide called ‘The Best of California’ includes a list of 16 different winter activities beyond skiing and snowboarding to try when visiting. Or consult the list on pages 56 to 58 for 22 under-the-radar restaurants with recommendations for ordering. There’s also further detailed information about Shasta Cascade.
