TORONTO — Trafalgar has kicked off its annual Travel Talks series for the fourth consecutive year, with a schedule of dates available through February.

Open to agents and their clients, the talks feature Trafalgar executives and Travel Directors who go in-depth with the brand’s expansive product and 2014’s must-see destinations. The free events include refreshments, prizes and booking incentives. The cross-Canada tour launched Nov. 5 in Camrose, Alberta.

Sponsored by Tourism Ireland, this year’s Travel Talks also include the opportunity to win a trip for two to Ireland on Trafalgar’s 12-day Irish Experience trip, complete with land and roundtrip airfare to Dublin.

By attending a Travel Talk presentation, guests are immediately entered to win this trip, offering up Insider moments like seeing the famous city sights of Belfast in a Black Cab with a Local Expert ‘Cabbie’ and stepping back in time for an engaging Be My Guest dinner in a traditional working farm in Killarney.

Agents, too, can expect a number of benefits from attending the Travel Talks with their clients, says Trafalgar. Last year there was a conversion rate of 20% and an average booking value of $5,220, an average agent commission of $950 per booking.

“Each year, our travel talks grow in popularity, and last year we saw over 2600 Canadians attend our 37 events throughout the country,” says Doug Patterson, President of Trafalgar Canada. “This year, we’ve expanded to 48 events across Canada, from Victoria to Charlottetown, due to an outpouring of involvement and piqued interest with our 2014 Europe & Britain program from our agents and their clients.”
