TORONTO — Independent travel advisors from across Canada came together for Onvigo’s second annual Advisor Gala, a virtual event that highlighted a year of growth, community engagement and achievements.
Held on Dec. 3 under the theme ‘TWO-GETHER’, the celebration underscored Onvigo’s core message that when advisors move forward, the entire community follows. The company reinforced that Agents First is “not a tagline. It’s our foundation,” as the evening recognized the contributions of advisors whose efforts are helping to shape the host agency’s future.
The virtual gala opened at 7 p.m. EST with cameras on and advisors joining in gala outfits, travel-themed looks and the #OnvigoGala2025 Selfie Challenge. A highlight of the night was the 2025 Advisor Awards, honouring advisors who turned “intention into action and action into results.” Award recipients included:
- Top Cruise Advisor: Satapon Wirojwong
- Top Guided Tour Advisor: Sandra Ettore
- Top Sun Advisor: Tina Johnston
- Most Supportive ITA: Carrie Vercillo
- Professional Development Achiever: Lisa Watson
- Up and Comer ITA: Marlene Henderson
- Community Superstar: Taryn Day
- Marketing Superstar: Abdus Sadeque
Additional recognitions included top sales achievers and most improved performers.
In a message to advisors, Shean Carmichael, Director of Host Agency Operations, said, “A goal without a plan is just a wish, and our community deserves more than wishes. Advisors who step into 2026 with clarity and a solid strategy will create the momentum that moves the whole network forward. Community creates confidence, and confidence fuels results.”
Looking ahead to 2026, Onvigo plans to expand its Partnership Program to strengthen relationships with suppliers and increase access to education, opportunities and practical tools. The goal is to support independent advisors with resources that help boost conversions and deepen client trust.
The gala closed with a reaffirmation of what Onvigo describes as a shared truth: “independent does not mean alone.” With advisors nationwide contributing to collective progress, the network says it is building the future of travel in Canada “TWO-GETHER.”
