SEATTLE — Intrepid Travel is expanding its active adventure offerings with the addition of 28 new itineraries for 2026, helping travel advisors meet rising demand for health, wellness and nature-based travel experiences.
The expanded collection spans six continents, featuring hiking, cycling, kayaking, snorkelling, and rafting trips designed for travellers looking to stay active and connect with the outdoors.
With these additions, Intrepid’s active portfolio now totals 148 trips worldwide, including five multi-active, 21 walking and trekking, and two cycling itineraries.
The new active trips are open for booking and will begin departures in February 2026.
“Intrepid’s style of travel has always resonated with people seeking active adventure, which makes this broader societal shift towards health and wellbeing especially exciting,” says Erica Kritikides, General Manager of Experiences at Intrepid Travel. “These trips let travellers move, explore and reconnect with nature, while sharing the experiences with a community of like-minded travellers.”
Active adventures are currently Intrepid’s fastest-growing category, up 9% year-over-year, with multi-active trips seeing a 23% surge. Global interest in outdoor and wellness travel continues to grow, with cycling tourism expected to nearly double over the next decade and hiking tours increasing by about 6% annually.
Each of Intrepid’s active itineraries includes a physical rating from one to five, making it easier for advisors to match trips to a client’s fitness level and travel style. All itineraries are locally led and fully commissionable through Intrepid’s agent booking system.
