TORONTO — Insight Vacations has launched a new storytelling project designed to connect travellers with the people and cultures that define each destination.
Called ‘Encounters,’ the multimedia initiative blends video, photography and editorial features to showcase authentic local stories and highlight the people guests meet on tour.
“We created Encounters to champion the human connections that define truly enriching travel,” said Lottie Norman, Global CMO of Insight Vacations. “In a world of quick scrolls and fleeting impressions, we wanted to pause and tell real stories, in depth, with beauty, purpose and soul. These are the people who bring our destinations to life, and Encounters is how we honour them.”
The series is designed to strengthen brand awareness and drive engagement across multiple channels. Hosted on the company’s ‘Insightful’ blog, the content is supported by SEO-driven articles, YouTube episodes and short-form social media pieces, giving advisors and travellers a new way to discover destinations and experiences.
The first three episodes of Encounters focus on Alaska, featuring Martin Buser, a four-time Iditarod champion and world record-holding dog musher. Travellers on Insight Vacations’ Jewels of Alaska tour have the opportunity to meet Buser in person. The launch episode has already generated more than 112,000 views, demonstrating strong global interest.
Produced in-house by Insight Vacations, the series was developed in partnership with The Travel Corporation’s Tour Brands Marketing Lab, with visual storytelling led by Jen Degnan, Head of Social.
