Asia’s closer than ever, say TripOppo, EVA Air post-fam

TORONTO — TripOppo and EVA Air recently teamed up for a fam tour to Vietnam that got high marks from participating travel advisors.

As one agent put it, “you can’t truly sell Vietnam until you’ve felt its rhythm — from the quiet of Ha Long Bay to the energy of Hoi An.”

The 14 Canadian travel advisors got the chance to fully experience Vietnam on the trip, from the emerald waters of Ha Long Bay to the lantern-lit charm of Hoi An.

The group began their adventure in style aboard EVA Air’s Premium Economy Class and enjoyed the VIP lounge at Taiwan Taoyuan Airport.

The trip kicked off in Ninh Binh, often called ʻHa Long Bay on Landʻ for its limestone peaks rising above serene rivers and rice paddies. Advisors climbed the 486 steps up Mua Cave to the panoramic summit of Ngoa Long Mountain, and later drifted peacefully through Tam Coc, a cinematic landscape featured in the 2017 movie, ʻKong: Skull Island.ʻ

One of the trip’s highlights was the overnight cruise through Ha Long Bay. Advisors enjoyed private balcony cabins, explored Trung Trang Cave and took bamboo boat rides into the Dark and Bright Cave.

In Hanoi, stops included the Old Quarter’s tricycle ride, the famous Train Street and the Temple of Literature. After a local lunch, the group flew to Danang and continued to Hoi An.

At Tra Que Vegetable Village, travel advisors experienced rural Vietnam firsthand, rolling up their sleeves for a hands-on farming session. They joined a cooking class, and enjoyed a farm-to-table lunch. The immersive activity was a highlight for many agents.

As TripOppo notes, the fam offered Canadian travel professionals a comprehensive look at what makes Vietnam one of Asia’s most rewarding destinations, from scenic cruises and cultural insights to authentic cuisine and warm local hospitality.

“For TripOppo, the tour reaffirmed its commitment to helping travel advisors experience the destinations they sell — and for EVA Air, it underscored the airline’s seamless connectivity and service excellence that make Asia closer than ever,” said the company.
