This is the first ‘extra perk’ of the new Aeroplan program

MONTREAL — Air Canada is rolling out its first ‘extra perk’ as part of the new Aeroplan program.

As of Dec. 14, Aeroplan members are now able to redeem their points for a single-use Wi-Fi pass onboard all Gogo-equipped aircraft on all routes.

Passes are available starting as low as 850 points for select flights under two hours. Some example prices for entire flight passes include:

  • YYZ-YUL: 850 points
  • YYZ-YVR: 1,400 points
  • YYZ-LHR: 2,100 points

Members can redeem their points by visiting aircanadawifi.com onboard the aircraft, selecting the desired pass they want, and then logging in with their Aeroplan number and password.

New partners and features will be unveiled in the coming months.

The transformed Aeroplan went live in November, with existing Aeroplan accounts and members numbers automatically moving to the new program. Travelweek also reported earlier this month that Air Canada’s free Manulife COVID coverage is now available to only Aeroplan members until Jan. 31, 2020.
