TDC’s National Leadership Conference in full swing in Cancun

CANCUN — Transat Distribution Canada has kicked off its National Leadership Conference in the very best way possible – by the beach, in the sun, in Cancun, Mexico.

Taking place from April 16-20 at Breathless Riviera Cancún Resort & Spa, the five-day event welcomes a delegation of travel agency owners, preferred partners and members of the TDC network’s management team who’ll be exchanging best practices and discussing new products in small groups via a pop-up meeting formula. Participants will also learn about current and future trends in travel intentions, operational efficiency and the industry’s ongoing recovery.

Joe Adamo and Karine Gagnon

Karine Gagnon, TDC’s General Manager, and Joseph Adamo, President of TDC and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Transat, kicked off the event on April 17 with opening remarks that emphasized the importance of a solid franchisor in an ever-changing travel industry.

“These few days will be a reflection of who we are at TDC and, more importantly, what we offer our members: an opportunity for professional development, networking and sharing best practices with business owners from across Canada, with TDC’s management team, and with speakers who are experts in their fields,” said Gagnon, who also gave high praise to the conference’s 40 preferred partners.

“This opportunity for our members to connect with these key players in the industry, to better serve their clients afterwards, is essential,” she added. “The relationship of trust that we have with many of our preferred partners allows TDC to ensure its strong position in the Canadian market.”

Plus, amid a labour shortage, she noted that TDC’s customized training program, Campus TDC, which will be enhanced later this year, is considered among the company’s strongest tools to help owners succeed.

For his part, Adamo provided an update on Transat’s strategic priorities, highlighting the unique relationship between TDC and Transat. He focused on the evolution of Air Transat’s fleet and air network, the impact of the Transat brand in the market and on the travel agency network, as well as the importance of customer loyalty.
