MONTREAL — Fourteen lucky travel agents got the chance to explore the Emerald Isle in depth while on an exclusive tour with Transat Distribution Canada (TDC).
Taking place from Oct. 28-Nov. 6, the ‘Shades of Ireland’ tour, which was operated by Collette, allowed agents to “ride along” with a group of regular passengers and enjoy the trip like a non-agent. They visited many of the country’s landmarks including Kilkenny, Waterford, Killarney, the Ring of Kerry, the Cliffs of Moher and Galway, ending with one night in Cabra Castle located just over an hour from Dublin.
To secure their spot on the tour, TDC applicants had to submit a video highlighting why they wanted to experience Ireland with Collette.
Sandra Wesson, Director of Product and Industry Relations for TDC who accompanied the group, said: “This was such an amazing opportunity for our travel professionals to experience the Collette service firsthand. From their door-to-door sedan pickup and drop-off service, to their excellent in-destination tour managers and drivers, the team was very impressed with all aspects of the trip. They are now very confident in how to sell guided vacations as well as what differentiates Collette.”
