TORONTO — Sunwing’s flight schedule is back on track.

Any Sunwing flights that were delayed as a result of the system outage have been resolved or are in progress, according to the airline.

“Any further scheduling changes are unrelated to the system issue,” says Sunwing. “However, note that check-in times and passenger processing may be slower than usual throughout the coming days until we fully relaunch our passenger handling system.”

The network-wide system issues that originated with Sunwing’s third-party service provider, Airline Choice, starting on April 17 caused a chain reaction of flight delays.

Sunwing is encouraging travellers to continue checking their flight status on Sunwing.ca for the most up-to-date information on departure times.

“We thank our customers for their patience and understanding as we worked around the clock to resume regular flight operations this week.”
