Sunquest’s new SPFPlus program includes donation to Food Banks Canada

MISSISSAUGA — Sunquest has unveiled its brand new SPFPlus program, with a portion of each purchase going to Canadians in need.

Standing for ‘Sunquest Protection Factor’, the add-on feature is designed to help clients protect their vacation plans, featuring flexible options that include final payment due 30 days prior to departure, a deposit of $150 per person, and a future travel voucher if the client cancels up to five days prior to departure. Plus, travellers can receive price drop protection when purchasing this add-on.

To start, the introductory price of the program will be $19.99 per passenger. TravelBrands, the parent company of Sunquest, will donate $10 from every purchase to Food Banks Canada.

“We have been trying to find ways to protect our customers while also giving back to our communities across Canada; our SPFPlus initiative was the perfect solution for both,” says Frank DeMarinis, CEO, TravelBrands. “Our future travellers can book now with confidence knowing their vacation plans are safe.”

DeMarinis also notes that Food Banks Canada serves over 500 local food banks across Canada.

“They are truly doing amazing work helping those in need and I hope our donation will help support their goals,” he adds.

The SPFPlus program is valid on new Sunquest bookings made between July 1-31, 2020 for travel July 1 onwards. Sunquest products were recently added onto TravelBrands’ Access platform.
