TORONTO — Here’s your chance to have your voice heard! TICO will be holding Open Forum Sessions to gain insight from industry members about the Travel Industry Act, 2002 and Ontario Regulation 26/05.
Led by the Ontario Government, the goal of the review is to increase regulatory efficiency, improve consumer protection, and reduce regulatory burdens on business.
According to TICO, “these sessions are an opportunity for you to receive some valuable information as well as ask questions, provide feedback and network with your peers.”
TICO will present information on the all-in-pricing requirement that comes into force on Jan. 1, 2017 and will review the consultation process. It will also present a number of priority issues and welcome feedback from attendees on areas such as registration, financial requirements, the Compensation Fund, e-Commerce and education standards.
Sessions are free of charge and all Ontario travel agency owners and travel agents are welcome to attend.
