Ryanair to “transform” the market with launch of package holidays

DUBLIN — Ryanair is getting its feet wet in the packaged holiday game, positioning itself as a one-stop shop for all travel-related services.

The low-cost airline, based out of Dublin, has announced the launch of its new package holiday service, offering flights, accommodation and transfer packages on its website. According to the airline, Ryanair Holidays – in partnership with Spain-based Logitravel and World2Meet – directly targets people who are tired of paying too much for vacation packages.

The new arm launched today in the UK, Ireland and Germany, with other markets in the works for 2017. All packages come with full consumer protection, reports TravelMole.

Marketing chief Kenny Jacobs said Ryanair Holidays is simply the next step on the airline’s journey to becoming the “Amazon of air travel”, and that coupled with Ryanair’s low fares, it will “transform the package holiday market.”
