Virtuoso welcomes new senior VP, global marketing

NEW YORK — Virtuoso has appointed Alyssa Bushey as senior vice president, global marketing.

In her new role, Bushey will oversee the continued evolution of Virtuoso’s global marketing strategy, supporting its network of more than 20,000 travel advisors, its member agencies and a portfolio of over 2,500 luxury travel partners worldwide. Her responsibilities include leading product marketing, content strategy, CRM analytics and performance, paid media and the continued international expansion of the Virtuoso brand.

Her appointment follows Helen McCabe-Young’s transition from global marketing to her new role as senior vice president, global products, after five years leading Virtuoso’s marketing operations.

A well-established leader in luxury travel and hospitality, Bushey brings an extensive background that spans global brands and resort developments. She most recently served as founder and CEO of Edison 360, a global marketing and innovation consultancy whose clients included Forbes Travel Guide, Hyatt Residential and Travel + Leisure Co.

Before launching Edison 360, Bushey was chief marketing officer for Margaritaville Resort Orlando, overseeing marketing, communications and sales for its US$800 million, 300-acre mixed-use resort project. Her previous roles include senior-level marketing and communications positions at Baha Mar, Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, Caesars Entertainment Corporation and Montage International, where she played a key role in developing the Pendry Hotels brand.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Alyssa to Virtuoso,” said Chief Operating Officer Brad Bourland. “She brings an incredible depth of experience and creativity that will build on the tremendous work Helen and her team have accomplished over the last five years. We’re excited to see where Alyssa’s leadership will take the division as we continue to elevate Virtuoso’s global marketing product and brand presence.”

Bushey will report to Bourland and lead a matrixed global marketing team spanning Virtuoso’s nine operating regions.
