Virtuoso enhances Product division with new key appointments

NEW YORK — Virtuoso has announced the appointment of Helen McCabe-Young as Senior Vice President, Global Products, as part of a broader strategy to expand and refine its product offerings across its global network.

The move follows the departure of Thatcher Brown, who has stepped down to take on the role of CEO at Crescent Seas, a new luxury residential-at-sea venture.

Based in Seattle, McCabe-Young brings to the role a deep understanding of Virtuoso’s international operations and product evolution, having spent the past five years as the company’s Senior Vice President, Global Marketing.

Since 2020, McCabe-Young has led an integrated marketing operation supporting both Virtuoso’s travel advisors and its luxury partners. Her work has spanned global public relations, paid media and brand, product marketing, content, CRM analytics and performance. McCabe-Young now shifts focus to product strategy, with a mandate to develop innovative offerings for Virtuoso’s members, preferred partners and travellers.

Her background includes more than a decade at Kerzner International, where she held executive roles including Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Global Corporate Communications. She was instrumental in shaping the One&Only Resorts brand and launching Atlantis The Palm Dubai. Earlier in her career, she held senior marketing positions with Silversea Cruises and Princess Cruises.

McCabe-Young’s appointment is accompanied by the addition of Amy Logan as Vice President, Global Network Product, and Lucy Lieberman as Vice President, Global Digital Experience. Logan joined Virtuoso in May, previously serving as Vice President of Solutions at Classic Vacations, while Lieberman joined in June as former CEO of Hotels at Michelin.

On the new team, Brad Bourland, Virtuoso’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “We’re excited to have Helen bring her marketing expertise and creative vision to a part of the business that’s primed for significant growth. With a strong mix of new and experienced leadership now in place, Helen and her team are well positioned to accelerate the development of innovative products and services that enhance the value we deliver to members and partners around the world.”
