“Tonight was a blast!” Advisors rave about TRAVELSAVERS Canada’s Dine & Discover event

TORONTO — It was a night to remember for TRAVELSAVERS Canada, which hosted its Spring Dine & Discover event earlier this week.

Taking place on April 17 at Toronto’s The Vue & Clubhouse EventSpace, the networking event welcomed more than 130 preferred partners, travel advisors and owners from 27 local agencies, all of whom enjoyed a trade show, cocktail reception, sit-down dinner and a brand new educational roundtable trivia game.

Started last year, Dine & Discover events bring together key industry players to learn from one another through informative presentations and networking sessions. The result, says Elizabeth Grundon, Business Analyst at TRAVELSAVERS Canada, is better business, relationships and services.

“Tonight’s event is a perfect example of TRAVELSAVERS’ commitment to forming strong alliances between our members and preferred partners, and we love to introduce new activities like the trivia game to keep things fresh and exciting. Special thanks to our preferred partners for their ongoing commitment,” said Grundon.

New partners this year includes Expedia TAAP and Sandals, along with Air Canada Vacations, Manulife, Transat, TravelBrands and WestJet Vacations. During the roundtable, agency owners and travel advisors were able to meet with preferred suppliers to learn about their latest product offerings, services and trends in quick five-minute sessions.

“We have over 80 choices in the Americas and 50 in Europe so it’s really important for us to update advisors on the latest offerings to help keep them top of mind,” said Brian Joseph of The Inclusive Collection.

Dinner was a family-style, sit-down affair that included a fun trivia game, with a trip as the grand prize. First-place winner Susan Eliuk from Frontliners Travel Group received a free three-day stay at the Secrets Bahia Mita resort in Puerto Vallarta, compliments of The Inclusive Collection.

Feedback about the event was overwhelmingly positive. Laurraine Payne, Owner of Rainy Day Travel Services Inc., said: “I was thrilled to attend the Dine & Discover event to meet the team that actually helped me start my business. Spending time with key suppliers and networking within the industry was very worthwhile and lots of fun. I recently signed on with TRAVELSAVERS and really appreciate their approach. The team is very welcoming and forthcoming, and tonight was a blast!”

TRAVELSAVERS’ next event, Travel Market, is set for Sept. 26-29, 2024 at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort in Florida.
