TORONTO — Envoyage, the principal independent membership network of Flight Centre Travel Group, has announced the Canadian travel advisors selected for its 2025 Icons global reward event.
This year’s top performers will travel to South Africa for an immersive cultural experience that combines recognition with networking opportunities.
The Canadian Icons for 2025 are: Julie Smigadis of Travel our World; Ellen Lezcano of Atlas Travel Solutions; Mike Sanderson of Up, Up and Away Travel; John Castell; Joanne Roberts; Lisa Kraiger of West Canadian Travel; Tammy Newman; Adam Taylor of Altitude Travel; Roxy Rae; and Christine Wilson.
The itinerary begins in Johannesburg before moving to Pilanesberg National Park for two nights at Bakubung Lodge. The group will conclude their stay with a night at the Palace of the Lost City in Sun City. Highlights include private morning and evening game drives, dinner under the stars, and cocktail events alongside key partners, peers and Envoyage leaders.
The Icons event is Envoyage’s way of acknowledging excellence and providing members with opportunities to build lasting connections. Canadian advisors will join colleagues from across Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and the United States.
Flight Centre Travel Group Global Managing Director Luxury & Independent brands Danielle Galloway said Icons epitomizes Envoyage’s commitment to recognizing excellence in entrepreneurship. “Recognition is powerful. Every milestone celebrated builds momentum and reinforces the strength of our Envoyage community. Icons is one of the ways we embody the core values of our global brand. At this sensational event, we reward and celebrate entrepreneurialism, lean into engagement by creating unique experiences and opportunities for connection, and encourage endurance through a membership community where success is visible, shared and used to inspire the next move forward,” she said.
Canadian Icon Roxy Rae also shared her perspective on the recognition. “Envoyage has been the biggest support in my business this year. From accounting to supplier relations, tools and business development, I’ve felt backed every step of the way. The resources are thoughtful, practical and designed with our success in mind. Being named an Envoyage Icon and walking beside such inspiring, passionate professionals in South Africa is a dream come true. These are the people I’ve looked up to since day one — and to now stand among them is incredibly humbling.”
The Icons event will take place ahead of Envoyage’s global member conference, Worldwide, scheduled for Sept. 12–15, 2025, in Sun City. That event will bring together 400 members from across the network for four days of collaboration and celebration.
