Envoyage Canada appoints Gail Banack as its new General Manager

TORONTO — Envoyage, Flight Centre Travel Group’s principal independent network for travel professionals, has announced Gail Banack as its new General Manager, Envoyage Canada.

Banack brings years of leadership and business development experience, most recently serving as Senior Vice President at Travel Edge where she was recognized for driving growth and building industry partnerships. In her new role, she will lead Envoyage’s Canadian operations as the organization continues its global expansion.

“Envoyage continues to grow globally, and Canada is critical to that momentum,” says Astrid Richardson, Global General Manager, Envoyage. “Gail’s leadership and local insight will strengthen how we support Canadian advisors, helping them build profitable businesses through the Envoyage Ecosystem, which brings together the best of a host agency and a consortia model.”

Banack says she’s excited to lead a new chapter of growth for Envoyage Canada: “Our advisors are some of the most capable and connected professionals in the industry. My focus will be on amplifying their success, deepening supplier partnerships, supporting business growth, and ensuring Envoyage continues to set the standard for the independent travel sector in Canada.”

Banack’s appointment comes as the company reports a 17% year-over-year increase in total transaction value for FY25. Envoyage now includes a network of more than 3,600 agents worldwide, with Canada being identified as a key growth market within the network’s broader strategy.
