Quebec awards recognizes Air Transat for earning public trust

MONTREAL — Air Transat has come out on top at the recent Institute for Trust in Organizations (ICO) awards in Quebec.

The airline ranked first in the ‘Large Organization – Transportation’ category at the awards, which recognizes the contributions of organizations that have earned society’s trust during the past decade. This year’s winners were determined by a survey conducted among the Quebec public in early 2020.

The survey was conducted online by the firm BIP Research from Jan. 27 to Feb. 7, 2020, among 900 adults living in Quebec who could answer in either English or French.

To determine the winners, BIP Research-ICO asked the following question to a representative sample of the Quebec public for each category: “Could you tell us which organization most earned your trust in the past decade (2010-2019), taking into account criteria such as integrity, reliability, performance, customer service, innovation, social responsibility, transparency, communication and collaboration?”

Upon learning that Air Transat ranked first overall, Annick Guérard, Chief Operating Officer, Transat, said: “This recognition reflects as much on our customers who place their trust in us as on our employees, who put their hearts into providing them with the very best experience and the highest satisfaction. We have created a corporate culture that makes our customers the focus of our concerns and our decisions, and it is a great honour to find ourselves at the forefront of the decade’s standout Quebec organizations in our industry.”
