MISSISSAUGA — TICO has issued an Immediate Temporary Suspension Order to Flyswatt Inc., a travel agency based in Mississauga, ON.

Located at 1-6646 Tomken Road, Flyswatt (TICO Registration #50028251 – Retail) has been ordered to cease all travel sales and counselling activity immediately.

TICO has also issued a Notice of Proposal to revoke Flyswatt’s registration. The agency is entitled to a hearing by the Licence Appeal Tribunal about the proposal to revoke its registration.

According to TICO, Flyswatt Inc. has not been financially responsible in the conduct of its business, while carrying on activities in contravention of the Travel Industry Act, 2002. TICO also notes that “there are reasons to believe that Flyswatt Inc. will not conduct business in accordance with the law, and with integrity and honesty as per section 8 of the Act.”
