[People] New sales hires at Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach

HONOLULU — Hilton Garden Inn Waikiki Beach recently expanded its sales team with industry veterans who add another 50 years of expertise to the hotel.

Shauna Nakamura is now serving as corporate and leisure sales manager, and is responsible for providing sales support for all wholesale partners and corporate accounts. IN this role, Nakamura is responsible for driving sales strategies for all high-volume accounts in the U.S. Canada, Oceania, Asia and Europe. Most recently, she worked with Worldstar DMC or Apple Leisure Group.

The hotel has also appointed Joann Dicion as group sales manager, who is responsible for corporate, government, association and university groups. Dicion brings more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including most recently in sales & catering at the hotel’s sister property, Hilton Waikiki Beach.

In addition to increased support for group travel, through Sept. 30, 2017 meeting planners can earn triple Hilton Honors points when they book a group (minimum of 20 rooms) for a stay of four nights or more. As the world’s largest Hilton Garden Inn with 623 guest rooms and suites, the hotel is well suited for small and large groups. Located one mile from the Hawaii Convention Center, this newly rebuilt hotel offers 529 square feet of flexible meeting room space, a business center and free Wi-Fi. Its central Waikiki location means convenient access to the best shopping and dining options in the revitalized section of Waikiki.
