Norwegian sales team cruising into 24 cities across Canada

MIAMI — Norwegian Cruise Line continues its commitment to its Partners First initiative with a series of events that will bring the Norwegian Cruise Line sales team face-to-face with travel partners and individual agents in more than 100 cities across North America, including 24 cities in Canada, over the next two months.

“As we seek to establish Norwegian Cruise Line as the cruise line of choice for Canadians, the unprecedented number of seminars speaks to the commitment we made to the Canadian trade,” said Andy Stuart, president and chief operating officer of Norwegian Cruise Line. “It is a natural outgrowth of the world-class team we have assembled across the country, headed by Dana Gain, and is truly a sales blitz at a national level.”

Norwegian’s travel partner seminar series is one of the largest in the line’s history and comes just six months after the cruise line expanded its sales team by more than 40%, including doubling the number of locally based business development managers in the field.

The seminar series will focus on travel partner training and engagement. Attending travel partners will learn about the advantages of doing business with Norwegian Cruise Line and the company’s key selling points as the youngest cruise fleet in North America, its global itineraries and newly built and refurbished ships.

Over the course of two months, Norwegian will engage more than 5,000 agent partners in small venues for an intimate and interactive exchange in an effort to arm travel partners with the tools necessary to grow their business and build a mutually beneficial relationship with Norwegian Cruise Line.

“This past spring we hosted agents in over 20 cities in North America to share the exciting news about Norwegian Escape, and the response from our partners was fantastic,” said Nathan Hickman, vice president of field sales and national accounts for Norwegian Cruise Line. “We followed that up with a virtual seminar that could be viewed online, something nearly 10,000 agents have taken advantage of. Now, with our new and expanded sales team, we are going out to even more cities to share our exciting story.”

Norwegian’s final travel partner seminar will take place just days before Norwegian christens the newest ship to sail the Caribbean, the Norwegian Escape, in early November. Travel partners can inquire about local events by connecting with their Norwegian business development manager directly or by visiting NorwegianCentral.com, for details and registration.

Travel partners who cannot attend one of Norwegian’s exclusive partner events, can stay up-to-date on the latest happenings and travel partner incentives and tools by tuning into one of the line’s monthly Partners First webinars.

Remaining seminars are scheduled for Vancouver Sept. 29, Langley Sept. 30, Richmond Oct. 1, Quebec City Oct. 7, Brossard Oct. 8, Edmonton Oct. 14, Calgary Oct. 15, Windsor Oct. 20, Moncton Oct. 21, London Oct. 22, Winnipeg Nov. 2, Victoria Nov. 3, Regina Nov. 4 and Saskatoon Nov. 5.
