TOKYO — Northstar Travel Group, parent company of U.S.-based Travel Weekly as well as Travel Pulse, Business Travel News, Phocuswright and more, has been acquired by JTB Corp.

Travel solutions provider JTB Corp. is based in Japan. JTB Corp. signed an agreement to acquire Northstar Travel Group from EagleTree Capital.

According to MICE industry news source Conference & Meetings World, Northstar will operate as a wholly-owned, independent subsidiary of JTB Corp. with its existing management team.

JTB Corp.’s presence in Canada already includes JTB International (Canada) Ltd., an inbound tour operator serving the Japanese market and the Asia Pacific region.
