National Airlines partners with Tourico, plans flights from 3 Canadian cities

ORLANDO — New carrier National Airlines, which launches Windsor-Orlando service in December, has signed Tourico Holidays to become its exclusive travel wholesale partner.

National Airlines will now package its air bookings with Tourico’s massive inventory of hotels, car rentals, activities and transfers, cruises and vacation homes.

The partnership comes a week after National Airlines announced that it will commence commercial services for the first time. National Airlines’ initial offering includes a nonstop service from Windsor International Airport, in Ontario, to Orlando Sanford International Airport.

National’s inaugural flight will depart Windsor, Ontario, on Dec. 17, 2015 and will be in service year round. The flight provider will also be rolling out commercial flights to Vancouver, St. John’s, Las Vegas and San Juan.

“After comparing potential competitors against Tourico Holidays, it became clear that our customers will enjoy the most bundle options and the best prices through Tourico,” said Dennis Daley, Manager of Network Planning and Strategy for National Airlines. “Not only will travellers now get best-in-class air service through National Airlines, they can now also purchase complete trip packages that fit their specific needs and budget.”

Tourico Holidays works on a high-volume, wholesale model to broker its massive inventory to clients like National Airlines. National will now be able to bundle its flights with more than 100,000 hotels worldwide, over 25,000 vacation homes, approximately 10,000 activities and transfers, 15 cruise lines and more than 10,000 different cruise departures throughout the world, and 25,000 car rental pick-up locations worldwide.

Tourico’s commitment to pre-purchasing large hotel room blocks will also give National Airlines the ability to offer its customers ExclusiveDeals on hotels – guaranteeing discounted rates of up to 60% off of retail, no blackout dates, last-minute availability and a greater inventory.

“In the travel business, you don’t want customers leaving your booking channel to look for other components of their trip,” said Jason Soss, President of Global Business Development for Tourico Holidays. “By partnering with Tourico, National customers will now have access to everything that they need, in one place and at great rates.”
