MSC to homeport second ship in Cuba next year

Geneva, Switzerland – MSC Cruises will be strengthening its presence in Cuba next year when the MSC Armonia homeports in Havana during the Winter 2016-17 season.

This will double the number of MSC Cruises’ Caribbean itineraries centered on Cuba and represents the cruise line’s second ship in Havana. The Armonia will join MSC Opera in Cuba’s capital starting November 2016, sailing two separate seven-night itineraries.

Following two days and one night in Havana, the first itinerary will take guests from the capital to the pristine beaches of Isla de Roatan, Honduras, before heading to Belize City, Belize. Then, it’s on to Costa Maya, Mexico and an exclusive Caribbean beach experience on Isla de la Juventud, Cuba before returning to Havana.

The second itinerary will start with two nights in Havana then sail onward to Montego Bay, Jamaica, Georgetown, Cayman Islands and Cozumel before circling back to the Cuban capital.

Guests can also combine both itineraries into a 14-night cruise.

In December 2016, MSC Opera will sail its second Cuban winter, alongside MSC Armonia, on seven-night cruises from Havana to Montego Bay, Jamaica, Georgetown, Cayman Islands, Cozumel, Mexico and back to Havana.
