If there was one person who could truly be called an icon of the travel industry, it was Gordon ‘Butch’ Stewart.
TORONTO — After two years as Executive Vice President of Travel Edge Leisure, Michael Johnson has been promoted to President of Travel Edge.
Johnson is credited wth bringing in $150 million in “unprecedented growth” during his time as EVP, Travel Edge Leisure. He was also responsible for creating a renewed focus on community, say company execs, adding that Johnson’s expertise in delivering exceptional customer experiences has been a key factor in Travel Edge’s growth as a leading agency in luxury travel. Johnson joined Travel Edge with 18 years of experience in the luxury retail industry.
As President of Travel Edge he will assume responsibility for both Travel Edge Business and Leisure.
Says Johnson: “Travel Edge was born from the idea that we could offer advisors a curated, more relevant and exclusive experience to help them grow their unique businesses. The expertise of travel advisors is at the heart of our travel offering. The future of luxury travel lives with the ICs – they need a partner who can help them take their business to the next level.”
Just over a month into the pandemic, Travel Edge launched a new signing bonus program worth up to $250,000 for advisors looking to join the agency. The new Travel Edge bonus program not only rewards the new advisor, but also the advisor who has recommended them for the network.
Other initiatives from the $500 million luxury travel company have included a series of live industry events under the Limitless Luxury Conference banner, as well as curated six Ultra Luxury Micro-Top Performer Trips, and a Keynote Speaker series.
