As a result of the current situation in Iraq, Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines will initially suspend flights to and from Erbil until further notice. Flights to Erbil are operated daily by Austrian Airlines from Vienna and twice a week by Lufthansa from Frankfurt. The airlines of the Lufthansa Group will continue to make a detour around Iraqi airspace, for example on flights to Asia and the Middle East.
