Journey the Globe offers volunteerism program in South Africa

TORONTO — ‘Volunteerism’ – to discover a new country and play an important role in the local community, especially with youth, has always been a quest and a dream that Jackie Bishop Martin, Journey the Globe’s president and Africa expert, has aspired to bring to the Canadian Travel Industry.

“With the YOU2AFRICA project, this effort has become a reality”, says Martin, “and we are very pleased to introduce this uplifting and inspiring project to all our travel partners.”

YOU2AFRICA is a youth volunteer program where young adults are escorted on a 7-day program, to work, enjoy a holiday and contribute to a community in South Africa. There are 35 volunteer projects to choose from. “They are safe, secure and life changing experiences. The young adults who join the program will bring change and hope to the community, will grow individually as young adults and in character. These fabulous volunteer programs cost Can$600 per person, for seven nights, and it is our hope that with the help of all our travel partners, we will be in the enviable position to make Canada the number one volunteer provider. Call us for all the details.”

The YOU2AFRICA project also ends in a stellar finale called the Cape Town Amazing Race. This is where one travel agent from Canada will be the lucky winner and join Jackie as ‘Team Canada’ for this ultimate one-week race against the clock.

Agents who have booked any Africa trip with Journey the Globe will be entered into a lucky draw and the winner will be a part of Team Canada.
