Jesson + Company to represent Colorado Tourism Office in Canada

TORONTO — Jesson + Company Communications Inc., a Toronto-based full-service public relations and communications agency, has been selected to represent Colorado Tourism Office in Canada, partnering with The KAI Group, a Canadian travel and tourism marketing firm.

The Colorado Tourism Office (CTO) was created in 2000 to promote Colorado as a premier tourism destination. A board of directors oversees the CTO and is comprised of 15 individuals from hotel, restaurant, attraction and other tourism-related businesses as well as Colorado legislators. The CTO’s International Promotions Program markets the state to international visitors through trade, consumer and media relations.

The program’s goal is to attract a steady increase of year-round international visitors to Colorado.

“Jesson + Company has deep roots in the hospitality and travel industry,” says Barbara Jesson president of Jesson + Company Communications Inc. “The many layers of the Colorado experience from dude ranch to urban sophistication will inspire us to apply our extensive experience, skills and innovative approach. We look forward to effectively shine a Canadian spotlight on this exciting international all-seasons destination.”

Annika Klint, managing director of The KAI Group, said “we are delighted to be working with the Jesson team to bring a fresh approach to Colorado Tourism Office media work in Canada. Given our extensive Canadian trade relationships, detailed knowledge of the Canadian travelling public and our intimate knowledge of the Canadian travel trade added to the Jesson media landscape, we’ve got Colorado covered.”

Canadian visitors can fly nonstop on Air Canada and United Airlines from most Canadian gateways.
