TORONTO — Vila Galé Hotels laid out a great spread for 200+ travel advisors at last night’s Casa do Alentejo event in Toronto, showcasing the hotel company’s properties in Portugal, Brazil, Cuba and Spain.
The key takeaway for Canadian agents? Vila Galé Hotels is taking over and renovating the two Sirenis Hotels & Resorts properties in Cuba – Sirenis Tropical Varadero and Grand Sirenis Cayo Santa Maria – and will reopen the two resorts as Vila Galé properties. The Cuba Tourist Board was on hand at last night’s event for the announcement.
Vila Galé Hotels’ portfolio also includes 34 hotels in Portugal, 13 in Brazil, one in Spain and in Cuba (with more to come), Vila Galé Cayo Paredón. Three lucky travel advisors took home three-day hotel stays with Vila Galé.
One of Vila Galé’s biggest partners, TAP Air Portugal, was also in attendance at last night’s event. Airline representatives reminded agents that TAP’s Business Class, popular in its own right especially for its ‘Local Stars’ dining initiative showcasing top Portuguese chefs, is also the least expensive Business Class to Europe. TAP is also working on developing a Premium Economy product.
