Mont Tremblant, Quebec

Club Med eyes new all-inclusive resort at Tremblant’s Versant Soleil

MONTREAL — Club Med, Station Mont Tremblant, and Brivia Group have entered strategic discussions to develop a major new resort project in Quebec’s iconic Laurentians region.

The proposed resort, which would aim for eco-friendly certification, would bring the Club Med brand to the Versant Soleil side of Tremblant, as part of the L’Hymne-des-Trembles site.

Club Med would oversee the hospitality portion of the project; real estate developer Brivia Group would lead the residential phases of the larger development.

The resort would offer approximately 300 high-end rooms and a wide array of activities suites for families and active couples. It will build on the success of Club Med Québec Charlevoix, Canada’s first all-inclusive resort that opened in 2021. Since then, it has welcomed over 130,000 guests in four years with an average occupancy rate of 75%.

NEXT STEPS

The new project’s progress depends on several key steps, including securing financing – interest has already been expressed by several investors and banks – and obtaining the necessary building permits. Once these steps are completed, construction could begin as early as summer 2026, with an anticipated opening in December 2028.

A public information session will be announced shortly to present more detailed project plans and address questions.

IT’S A COLLABORATION

From the beginning stages, both Club Med and Brivia have prioritized close collaboration with the city of Mont Tremblant to ensure the project’s integration into the natural, social and cultural environment. Early discussions highlighted the common goal of sustainability. Club Med will be targeting BREEAM certification – an internationally recognized environmental building standard – at the ‘Very Good’ level, as well as Green Globe certification for sustainable operations.

The Mont Tremblant project is expected to become a major driver of regional economic growth, projected to create nearly 300 direct jobs and at least as many indirect jobs. Approximately half of the employees will be housed on-site within the resort. The project would also promote local stakeholder engagement through partnerships related to excursion activities, services and sourcing local products.
