Club Med exec says financing Mont-Tremblant is next step

PARIS — Club Med’s Deputy CEO, Chief Development / Construction, Property and Mountain Strategy, Gregory Lanter, says the all-inclusive resort company is ready to take its plans for Mont-Tremblant to the next level.

In a LinkedIn post Lanter said he and his teams were recently on site at Mont-Tremblant “to take another decisive step toward making it happen.”

News that Club Med had entered strategic discussions to develop a major new resort project in Quebec’s iconic Laurentians region first broke in June 2025.

The proposed resort will bring the Club Med brand to the Versant Soleil side of Tremblant, as part of the L’Hymne-des-Trembles site. With some 300 high-end rooms and a wide array of activities suites for families and active couples, it aims to build on the success of Club Med Québec Charlevoix, Canada’s first all-inclusive resort that opened in 2021.

Lanter notes that Tremblant is a world-class ski destination, with future possibilities, and an international brand, well-known across North America and beyond. Not only does the destination have strong year-round appeal, with summer as powerful as winter, it also offers seamless global connectivity via YUL.

“For Club Med, Mont-Tremblant is the perfect addition to our portfolio before entering the U.S. ski market – the largest in the world. For Mont-Tremblant, Club Med will be a booster for the local economy, bringing a new international clientele and creating around 300 jobs,” he said.

Lanter added that Club Med “often goes beyond its role as operator. Instead of simply waiting for ready-made opportunities from investors and developers, we sometimes act as developer ourselves: scouting unique spots, securing land and permits, designing and building, and ultimately delivering tailor-made projects to investors.”

Lanter’s post suggests that funding for the development is the next step: “Now comes the exciting part: financing Mont-Tremblant and moving toward a 2026 construction start,” he said.
