Could the ‘Homiemoon’ be the next big trend in travel?

MOSCOW — After each of their friends tied the knot and wound up getting married, two men were left standing and single as ever. But rather than take the leap of matrimonial faith themselves, the two Americans – who’ve been friends for 15 years – booked a ‘homiemoon’ to Thailand to celebrate their bachelor lifestyles.

What followed was an outpouring of love and laughs on social media, not to mention a possible new niche market in the travel industry. One of the men, who goes by ‘ignoreeverythingido’ on Imgur, documented the trip with photos that spoof the famous ‘Follow Me To’ travel pics by Murad Osmann and Natalia Zakharova.

Murad and Natalia’s photos have inspired countless copycats who are in love and travel the world. But these ‘homiemoon’ pics are by far the funniest for putting a jokingly romantic twist on an otherwise heterosexual bromance.

While everyone else is getting married and having babies, my best friend and I had our own homiemoon in Thailand” — Imgur user ignoreeverythingido
