TORONTO — Sri Lanka will be in the spotlight next week at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Presented by Prestige Discoveries in partnership with the Global Tourism Film Festival, and with support by the Sri Lanka High Commission, the event will take place at the MTCC on May 31 as part of the World of Travel, Trade & Taste Expo.

Travel professionals can learn more about the destinations sunny palm-fringed beaches, misty tea-covered highlands, primeval rainforest, abundant game reserves, UNESCO ancient cities, and rich cultural heritage.

Highlights include the Sri Lanka travel documentary ‘Realm of Paradise’, by filmmaker and traveller Anna Leonti. Event presenters will also include the High Commission of Sri Lanka, the national carrier Sri Lankan Airlines, the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, and DMC Whittalls Travels, part of the John Keells Group, amongst the country’s largest tourism conglomerates.

Attendees can also learn about Cinnamon Hotels and Resorts operating top-rated properties across Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Industry personnel will be able to register for an exclusive Sri Lanka FAM program at the event. There will also be prizes from Spa Ceylon and a vacation for two to Sri Lanka.
