ACTA opens applications for Aurora Expeditions training cruise

TORONTO — ACTA is teaming up with Aurora Expeditions to launch a new educational expedition for travel advisors designed to deepen their knowledge and provide handson training.

Taking place June 9–16, 2026, aboard the Sylvia Earle, the week-long expedition will sail through Iceland’s Westfjords region on Aurora Expeditions’ ‘Iceland: Into the Westfjords’ Discovery voyage. After arriving in Reykjavik, participating advisors will visit the Latrabjarg cliffs at Patreksfjordur that’s home to millions of seabirds, marvel over the port of Dynjandi waterfall, view puffins, Arctic terns and black guillemots on the island of Vigur, and travel to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula, gateway to Snæfellsjökull National Park.

The expedition is limited to 30 participants. A professional development participation fee of US$3,250 per person (based on double occupancy) will be payable directly to Aurora Expeditions to cover voyage-related costs.

The application deadline is April 9, 2026. To apply, click here. Successful applicants will be notified on April 15, 2026.

ACTA also recently announced the return of the European River Cruise Summit for 2026, hosted in partnership with Avalon Waterways. This year’s summit takes place from Nov. 14–21, 2026, and will sail along the Danube River, from Nuremberg to Budapest. For more details, click here.
