TORONTO — The Jamaica Tourist Board’s annual Canada roadshow, now well underway, made a stop in Toronto last night at Woodbine Banquet Hall.
The roadshow brings together Canadian travel advisors, Jamaican suppliers, and industry partners to share the latest and most exciting developments Jamaica has to offer. The Jamaican delegation includes representation from some of Jamaica’s top amenities, hotels, attractions, and destinations.
More than 600 Canadian travel advisors are expected to attend the 10-city trade mission, and 15 supplier partners. Attendees can engage with their regional BDMs and network with Jamaican representatives.
“We want to make this year’s roadshow the most memorable one for travel advisors and trade professionals by providing them with an unmatched experience that will encourage more Canadians to visit Jamaica,” said Angella Bennett, Regional Director in Canada for the Jamaica Tourist Board. “This roadshow encapsulates a unique opportunity for our partners in the travel industry to forge connections, exchange insights, and inspire their clients with unforgettable journeys to Jamaica.”
After visiting Halifax, Quebec City, Montreal, Ottawa, Markham, Burlington and Toronto, the roadshow is now heading to Calgary (Oct. 27), Edmonton (Oct. 28) and Winnipeg (Oct. 29).
Travel advisors in those cities are invited to register to reserve a spot: http://www.visitjamaica.com/canada/seminars.
In other JTB news, the tourism board recently appointed Weber Shandwick as its new Canadian PR agency of record (AOR). The three-year partnership aims to inspire more Canadians to visit Jamaica and strengthen the island’s profile as a leading Caribbean destination.
As reported earlier this month, Jamaica aims to welcome 600,000 Canadian visitors annually and achieve US$750 million in tourism earnings by 2030, supported by a notable 22% increase in Canadian airlift capacity.
