5Continents returns from transformative Kenya FAM

MONTREAL — Kenya left a lasting impression on 10 travel advisors who recently returned from a 5Continents FAM trip that blended adventure, cultural discovery and unforgettable wildlife encounters.

Held from April 29 to May 6, 2025, and led by Sabrina Greca, 5Continents’ Business Development and Marketing Director, the immersive journey – designed in partnership with local experts Twiga Tours – offered a firsthand look at one of Africa’s most captivating destinations.

From the moment the group touched down, participants were immersed in the heart of Kenya – its wildlife, its people, and its breathtaking landscapes. With daily safaris, up-close animal encounters, and cultural exchanges, the itinerary showcased the exceptional service and attention to detail that define the 5Continents experience.

Highlights of the trip included:

  • Feeding giraffes at the iconic Giraffe Centre in Nairobi
  • A touching visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where several advisors adopted orphaned elephants
  • A sunrise hot-air balloon safari over the Masai Mara
  • Visits to Maasai villages, offering insight into traditions and daily life
  • Frequent wildlife sightings, including lions, rhinos, elephants, zebras and cheetahs
  • A hosted dinner at the private home of Twiga Tours’ owners

“This wasn’t just a trip – it was a sensory journey,” said Greca. “From the sounds of the savannah to the warmth of the Kenyan people, every detail was infused with meaning and magic. Our long-time partners and friends at Twiga Tours delivered an experience that was both seamless and deeply moving.”

The FAM trip not only served as an educational experience but also reignited advisors’ enthusiasm for promoting Africa as a destination rich in authenticity and connection.

For some, it was a life-changing introduction to the continent. “My first experience in Africa did not disappoint in any way,” said Camille Wilson of The Travel Agent Next Door. “From feeding giraffes and falling in love with a toddler elephant, to meeting the very talented ladies who create colourful jewelry out of clay, this first-hand experience has a part of my heart and has allowed me to speak more intelligently on Kenya to my clients.”

Linda Dennis, also with The Travel Agent Next Door, echoed that sentiment: “Discovering how 5Continents crafts its safari experiences sparked my excitement. Twiga Tours welcomed us like family and our guides amazed us daily with their deep knowledge and passion for their homeland. Every moment was truly inspiring.”
