Crystal postpones the launch of Crystal Endeavor to November

MIAMI — Crystal Expedition Cruises has announced the delayed launch of the new Crystal Endeavor, now scheduled to sail for the first time on Nov. 14, 2020.

Due to the temporary closure of the MV WERFTEN shipyards as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Crystal has been compelled to delay the ship’s launch and cancel all scheduled itineraries through Oct. 31, 2020. Crystal Endeavor’s maiden voyage was originally scheduled for this coming August; it will now be the 14-night ‘Tasmania & Fjords of New Zealand’ cruise embarking later this year in November.

“We know that, like us, our guests have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to explore anew with Crystal aboard this groundbreaking ship, and we deeply regret that this change has become necessary and has disrupted our guests’ travel plans,” said Crystal’s president and CEO, Tom Wolber. “While this unprecedented global health crisis inhibits our journeys for now, we are looking ahead with great optimism to introducing Crystal Endeavor to the world on Nov. 14, and welcoming travellers to their next great adventure.”

Crystal is currently reaching out to guests and their travel agents directly with rebooking options.
