NEW YORK CITY — Leave it to Virgin Voyages to make the arrival of a new ship into a full-blown mic drop moment.
Ahead of Brilliant Lady’s Miami MerMaiden Voyage later this week, the company has released a Hollywood-worthy music video that chronicles the ship’s debut in New York City last month. Opening with rehearsals with Pub Choir’s Astrid Jorgensen to a stellar on-deck musical performance of 2,400 crew and Sailors, the film captures the spirit of togetherness that has long been Virgin Voyages’ signature trademark.
The company also released a short documentary of the making of the music video featuring founder Sir Richard Branson. Of the ship’s debut, he said: “It’s been an absolute blast. All of us together has achieved something pretty damn good.”
Brilliant Lady is sailing fall foliage cruises of the Northeast U.S. and Eastern Canada, after which it will pivot to the Caribbean.
