Oceania to overhaul Marina in as part of fleetwide enhancement

MIAMI — Oceania Cruises has announced plans for a major refurbishment of Oceania Marina, with the 1,250-guest vessel set to undergo a comprehensive transformation in October 2026.

When it enters dry dock later this year, the ship will see a full redesign of all staterooms, along with upgrades across public spaces, as part of the line’s broader OceaniaNEXT initiative. The program is designed to enhance every aspect of the guest experience, from ship design and dining to service and onboard enrichment.

The stern-to-stern refurbishment marks the first in a series of planned enhancements across the fleet, aligning existing ships with the design direction of future newbuilds while maintaining the brand’s focus on culinary excellence and destination-driven travel.

“We are constantly refining the guest experience, from elevating our culinary offerings to creating more intimate, immersive ways to explore the world’s most iconic destinations,” ,” said Jason Montague, Chief Luxury Officer of Oceania Cruises.

“With OceaniaNEXT, we are reaffirming our commitment to modern luxury by ensuring every ship in our fleet reflects the refined style, attention to detail and thoughtful innovation that define our brand.”

As part of the refurbishment, all staterooms will be completely redesigned with new layouts, updated furnishings and new bathrooms featuring marble finishes and rainforest showers. Suites, including Penthouse, Oceania, Vista and Owner’s categories, will also be refreshed to align with recent upgrades across the fleet.

Public areas will receive updated furnishings, new carpeting and enhanced lighting to create a more cohesive and contemporary look. The Grand Lounge will be expanded to introduce the Founders Bar, a new cocktail venue featuring artisanal drinks.

Culinary enhancements are also central to the project. A new Chef’s Studio will replace the existing Artist Loft, offering expanded programming including demonstrations and tastings. Meanwhile, Baristas café will introduce a new bakery concept serving fresh pastries throughout the day. Signature restaurants including Polo Grill, Red Ginger, Toscana and Jacques will undergo design updates along with galley improvements, reinforcing the line’s focus on high-quality dining at sea.

Additional upgrades include new sun loungers and day beds on the pool deck, aimed at enhancing guest comfort in outdoor spaces.
