The recognition from Forbes Vetted highlighted several reasons behind the award, including Holland America’s Alaska Up Close programming, wildlife experts on board, Glacier Bay experiences and nearly 80 years of sailing in the region. The line also offers the Alaska Glacier Guarantee, ensuring every Alaska cruise features a scenic visit to one of the state’s iconic glaciers.
Guests can choose from more than 175 shore excursions in Alaska, with opportunities to view wildlife and explore wilderness areas. Each sailing includes a wildlife expert on board to guide guests in spotting animals along the journey. Culinary experiences are also a highlight. Through its Global Fresh Fish Program, Holland America sources locally caught fish in less than 48 hours and is the only cruise line triple-certified for sustainable seafood. In Alaska, menus feature creations by Fresh Fish Ambassador Chef Masaharu Morimoto.
