Junior Dream Suite, Celestyal Discovery

Here’s your first look at Celestyal Discovery’s refreshed cabins

TORONTO — Celestyal is offering a first look at the newly enhanced cabin options aboard Celestyal Discovery, following the ship’s second extensive winter refit in Athens earlier this year.

The 1,360-guest vessel returned to service in March 2025 to launch the line’s Mediterranean season and is set to make its inaugural deployment to the Arabian Gulf in December.

Among the most significant upgrades are 47 new staterooms, including 30 “Junior Dream Suites” and two “Grand Horizon Suites” located above the bridge, each featuring a balcony measuring approximately 167 square feet. The ship’s premium capacity has now increased by over 50%. Another 15 “Cosmos Cabins” – interior staterooms – have also been added, resulting in a 7.4% overall increase in passenger capacity.

“This winter’s refit of Celestyal Discovery speaks volumes about our continued investment into our guest experience,” said Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer at Celestyal. “We’ve not only added more balcony staterooms but enhanced our premium cabin options to meet growing demand for more space and comfort, while preserving the small-ship charm and personal service that we’re known for. These images showcase just how far we’ve come, and we’re incredibly proud to be taking Celestyal Discovery to the Arabian Gulf for the very first time this December.”

Expanding Presence in the Arabian Gulf

Celestyal Discovery will make its Arabian Gulf debut on Dec. 12, 2025, joining sister ship Celestyal Journey, which returns to the region earlier that month on Dec. 6 with a Grand Prix celebratory sailing.

Together, the two ships will offer a season of short and flexible itineraries from December 2025 to March 2026, with plans to continue operations in the region for the next three consecutive years. Celestyal Discovery will be homeporting in Abu Dhabi throughout this period.

Arabian Gulf itineraries include:

  • Weekly three-night ‘Iconic Arabia’ (Friday to Monday): Sailing roundtrip from Abu Dhabi with calls to Dubai and Sir Bani Yas Island, featuring beach time and wildlife safari excursions. Fares start at US$339 per person.
  • Weekly four-night ‘Iconic Arabia (Monday to Friday): Sailing roundtrip from Abu Dhabi with stops in Doha, Dubai (via Ras Al Khaimah), and Khasab in Oman. Fares begin at US$429 per person.

The three- and four-night sailings can be combined into a seamless seven-night experience, with rates starting from $689 per person.
