Courtney’s Quest presents $60,000 to charity with support of Canadian travel industry

TORONTO – Courtney’s Quest presented checks to SickKids and Camp Trillium for a total of $60,000 last week in Toronto.

On hand for the presentation were Cindy Gerhardt, Product Buyer, Westjet; Maureen Barnes-Smith, Director of Sales & Marketing, Unique Vacations; Eamonn Ferrin, President & COO Air Canada Vacations; Courtney Sadler, Courtney’s Quest; Sylvie Legare, Senior Director Product, Transat Tours.

Courtney’s Quest held a gala dinner last month as a fundraising initiative for SickKids Foundation and Camp Trillium. The travel industry, led by Sandals and Beaches, as well as Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada, West Jet, Transat Holidays, Melia Hotels International and Moreno Travel made major contributions.

Courtney’s Quest is the vision of Courtney Sadler, a brave young girl who was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia shortly after her 16th birthday. After 4 grueling rounds of chemotherapy and months spent at SickKids, Courtney is now in remission and her ‘Quest’ to raise awareness and funding for the organizations that helped save her life has begun.
