Quebec’s Canandes brings on Rauzon as VP, Nat’l Sales in bid for rest of Canada

MONTREAL — Quebec-based tour operator Canandes wants to increase its brand awareness in English Canada, hiring Michele Rauzon as its new Vice President, National Sales as part of that strategy.

A well-known figure in the industry, Rauzon worked at Alio for 17 years. She also held a sales position at The Travel Corporation, representing Uniworld, Trafalgar and Insight Vacations.

Rauzon’s new role at Canandes involves developing new strategies to strengthen the commercial development of Canandes in Quebec and gradually increase the tour operator’s brand awareness in English Canada.

A well-known figure in the industry, Rauzon worked at Alio for 17 years. She also held a sales position at The Travel Corporation, representing Uniworld, Trafalgar and Insight Vacations.

Established in Quebec in 1984, Canandes specializes in niche products and specialty tours in Latin America, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Owner and President Camilo Aguilar says the company wants to expand its products across Canada. Canandes has a bilingual res staff and all trips are available in English.
