Azamara Club Cruises introduces new brand: ‘Stay Longer. Experience More.’

MIAMI — Azamara Club Cruises has evolved its signature brand, ‘Longer Stays and More Overnights’ to ‘Stay Longer. Experience More’.

“Within this evolved positioning, there are two powerful guest deliverables,” says Larry Pimentel, President and CEO of Azamara Club Cruises.  “The first is we’re shifting from enabling our guests to immerse themselves in the destination, to delivering over one thousand new and existing destination experiences for guests to select from in over 70 countries.”

These experiences provide the second powerful deliverable:  one-to-one human connection, he says. “Our land product will be curated to ensure guests get to connect in a personalized and unique way with the people in the destinations they visit. This may occur through people to people interaction, cultural experiences, enjoying local food and beverages, music, events and so on.”

The new brand is comprised of three pillars: Immersive Itineraries; Cruise Global, Connect Local; and Boutique Hotels at Sea.

The focus on extended stays and authentic local experiences on Azamara Journey and Azamara Quest will include ‘Immersive Itineraries’ that will offer guests the opportunity to visit destinations at night. There are over 250 overnight and late stays, 8 p.m. or later, in port that amount to roughly 50% of all Azamara port calls. Due to the intimate size of the ships, they are able to dock close to town centres. In 2017 and 2018, travellers can visit over 200 ports worldwide, 35 of which are new destinations.

Several world events and themed voyages are offered as well, including Monaco Grand Prix, the World Cup, British Open, the Venice Redentore Festival, wine and yoga. Azamara’s country-intensive voyages cover destinations including Japan, Italy, Spain, Norway, New Zealand, Australia, Greece and Croatia.

Cruise Global, Connect Local is a series of land programs to give travellers a personalized and authentic experience at different locations, rarely repeating ports, and also includes Stay Local, which offers overland tours during, pre- and post voyages. With Customize Local, guests can personalize their excursions. The brand’s popular, locally immersive and complimentary AzAmazing Evenings Events will continue. A few tours include Cruise Global, Bike Local, Cruise Global, Taste Local, Cruise Global, Celebrate Local, Cruise Global, Eco Local and Cruise Global, Golf Local.

Azamara has redesigned their ships to feature a more contemporary and elegant model. The Boutique Hotels at Sea will focus programming onboard, ranging from local culinary and beverage selections, to travel movies, lecturers and panel discussions on destinations as well as entertainment. Included amenities consist of gratuities and select standard spirits, international beers and wines, bottled water, soft drinks, specialty coffees and teas, English butler service for suite guests and more.
