TORONTO — Avalon Waterways will be debuting two TV commercials this week, both of which can be accessed by agents via a new Consumer Marketing Kit.
Available at www.agentlingo.ca, the kit gives agents access to the commercial spots, emails, social media posts, images and more to help them stimulate river cruise sales for 2019, said Patrice Geske, Canadian director of marketing for the Globus family of brands, Avalon’s parent company.
“By launching this television advertising campaign, we hope to inspire more Canadians to ask for – and book – river cruise vacations with their travel agents,” she added.
The commercials will be featured on a total of 23 channels, a combination of regional and national, including HGTV, OWN, CBC News Network, The Weather Network, Gusto, W Network and more.
Avalon’s new Avalon Choice program is featured in the TV ads, which also showcase ‘Classic’, ‘Discovery’ and ‘Active’ excursions as well as the company’s award-winning Suite Ships.
Starting in 2019, Avalon’s European fleet will, for the first time, be exclusively Suite Ships, featuring signature 200 square-foot Panorama Suites, which are 30% larger than the average stateroom. Featured on two of three decks on every Avalon ship, these suites featuring window-facing beds and window-walls to open to create open-air balconies are also highlighted in the commercials.
“We have had enormous success with our commercials, driving consumers to visit their travel agents and inquire about Avalon,” said Geske.
