THE VALLEY AND BASSETERRE – Anguilla and St. Kitts & Nevis have both announced relaxed travel measures for fully vaccinated international travellers.

ANGUILLA

As of July 1, only fully vaccinated adult travellers are allowed entry into Anguilla. Children under 18 years old and women who are pregnant are exempt from this requirement. 

A fully vaccinated traveller is described as someone who has received the last dose of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca or Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines at least 21 days prior to arrival on the island. 

International travellers must apply for Entry Permission at www.ivisitanguilla.com and must submit a negative COVID-19 rt-PCR test from a nasopharyngeal swab taken 3-5 days prior to arrival. Proof of vaccination must be uploaded to the entry application. The legally-issued card/identification by the country administering the vaccine will be reviewed by Anguillian authorities to ensure authenticity.

All visitors will be tested upon arrival, however there are no fees charged. Visitors are required to stay in place at their hotel or villa while awaiting their test results, which are usually delivered within 12 hours. 

All restrictions on fully vaccinated guests’ movements have been lifted, meaning that upon receipt of their negative test result they are free to roam around the island, rent a vehicle, dine at restaurants, visits spas and more. They are, however, asked to adhere to COVID-19 protocols on the island, including wearing a face covering at places where social distancing cannot be maintained.

ST. KITTS & NEVIS

Effective July 12, 2021, St. Kitts & Nevis’ Vacation in Place period for fully vaccinated international air travellers will be reduced from nine days to three days, with testing on day four. Once a negative test result is achieved, these visitors are free to fully integrate into the Federation.

A traveller is considered fully vaccinated when two weeks have passed since receiving their second dose of a two dose vaccine series (Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna or AstraZeneca/Oxford) or two weeks after they have received a single dose vaccine (Johnson + Johnson).

International borders remain open for travel by commercial air and sea vessels. As summer family travel reaches its peak in July, the travel requirements for non-vaccinated children under 18 have been aligned with those of their parents:

• Non-vaccinated children under 18 travelling with fully vaccinated parents are welcome
• Non-vaccinated children under 18 travelling with fully vaccinated parents will observe the same period of Vacation in Place as their parents

As announced on May 29, 2021, only fully vaccinated travellers will be allowed entry to the Federation. Exemptions are in place for citizens and residents of St. Kitts and Nevis, and children under the age of 18 coming from international destinations.
