CANADIAN TIRE LOYALTY PARTNERSHIP

In other WestJet news, the airline’s new loyalty partnership with Canadian Tire Corporation is now in effect, allowing members to earn rewards across both travel and everyday purchases by linking their accounts.

First announced in May 2025, the collaboration brings together WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards, enabling members to “spend once and earn twice” by collecting both WestJet points and Canadian Tire Money on eligible purchases.

“Together, WestJet Rewards and Triangle Rewards are making it easier for Canadians to earn more and enjoy greater choice,” said John Weatherill, Executive Vice-President and Chief Commercial Officer, WestJet Group. “By enabling members with linked accounts to stack their earn at the stores they know and love, we are getting Canadians closer to their next dream vacation faster.”

Linked members can earn both WestJet points and Canadian Tire Money on eligible items across participating CTC and WestJet businesses, including Canadian Tire, SportChek and Mark’s. A full list of participating stores can be found at triangle.ca/westjet. Those who pay with their Triangle credit card or any WestJet RBC Mastercard credit card will earn even more rewards when shopping with participating CTC and WestJet businesses.

The partnership also extends to travel bookings. Members who book flights through WestJet’s website or mobile app can earn Canadian Tire Money alongside WestJet points on flights, vacation packages and ancillary purchases such as seat selection and baggage.

In addition, linked members have the option to convert WestJet points into Canadian Tire Money to put towards retail purchases.

To mark the launch, WestJet will be serving complimentary FRANK snacks – a fan favourite at Canadian Tire – on WestJet flights.
