BRAMPTON — The team at Turkish Airlines Toronto hosted its Iftar dinner last night at Nuvo Event Space in Brampton, ON.
The well-attended event is an annual fixture on the airline’s calendar as it celebrates Ramadan with the Muslim community in the GTA.
Can Yoldas, Consul General of Türkiye in Toronto, thanked Turkish Airlines for organizing and hosting the event. “Ramadan is a time of year that shapes and builds us as humans,” said Yoldas, as attendees enjoyed a traditional iftar spread.

Earlier this month, Turkish Airlines reached a major milestone, welcoming its 500th aircraft.
Since its founding in 1933 with a fleet of five aircraft, Star Alliance member Turkish Airlines now has a fleet of 516 (passenger and cargo) aircraft flying to 356 worldwide destinations as 303 international and 53 domestics in 132 countries.
“Our 500th aircraft represents far more than a new addition to our fleet; it stands as a symbol of 93 years of dedication, determination, and shared vision,” said Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee Prof., Ahmet Bolat.

He added: “We see our 500th aircraft not as a milestone marking an end, but as the beginning of the ‘Second 500’ era. In line with our goal of reaching a fleet of 1,000 aircraft by 2036, we remain committed to positioning our country as one of the global hubs of aviation.”
