TORONTO — Star Alliance has once again claimed the title of World’s Best Airline Alliance at the 2025 Skytrax World Airline Awards, marking its fourth consecutive win and 13th overall since the award category was introduced in 2005.
The alliance also retained the top honour for World’s Best Airline Alliance Lounge for its Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport Lounge. The win marks the lounge’s second consecutive title since it opened in October 2023.
“This continued recognition is incredibly significant to all of us at Star Alliance. It reflects the trust millions of customers place in our member airlines, connected by a rhythm, to create smoother journeys every day,” said Star Alliance Chief Executive Officer Theo Panagiotoulias. “This achievement reflects the shared commitment to excellence shown by every employee at Star Alliance and across our member airlines throughout a promising 2024. I proudly accept this honour on their behalf and encourage them to keep aiming higher in the year ahead and beyond.”
The awards were presented during a ceremony at the Paris Air Show, held at Le Bourget Airport. Often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry,” the Skytrax World Airline Awards are based on customer feedback collected from over 22 million eligible survey entries submitted by travellers worldwide between September 2024 and May 2025.
In addition to the two alliance awards, 14 Star Alliance member airlines were honoured across 62 individual categories at this year’s event.
